We live in a more equal society today than we have ever done. But are we really truly equal? Do we need to do more to fight against racism, sexism, and other prejudices?
Cool, calm, debate seems like such a sensible way to resolve issues. Weighing up the evidence and arguing a point until one side wins. But what happens when those in power don’t care about evidence, won’t listen to arguments, or just plain ignore things? Is it ok to then use more physical action?
Fast food, fast lifestyles. Everything we do is geared around speed. So who has time to prepare vegetables and wait hours for a meal to cook? Who has time to care where their tomatoes come from or who grew their coffee beans? Should we care more?
Fame and fortune are dreams for many people. Crowds of adoring fans cheering them on, or the ability to buy anything they desire come with celebrity success. This should bring joy and happiness right? So why do so many famous people end up in terrible circumstances? Should we do more to protect them?
